The Netherlands, a spectacularly flat country that I hold very close to my heart. I lived there for a year and a half while pursuing my master’s degree in Archaeological Heritage Management at Leiden University. So I feel uniquely qualified to write at length about this small, wind-swept, windmill-dotted, and bike-crazy country. However, that’s not the point of this post. The true point is simply to let your eyes feast on the visual wonders that Holland has to offer.
